Social Networks

I’m a 31 year old geek addicted to this every growing and evolving cloud of data we call the internet. Computer tech / Network Admin by day, and gamer / TV / Movie nerd by night.

I presently run two networks in the New Orleans area, and living here is sure to present some interesting thoughts for conversation on the blog. Survivor of Katrina (hope to never do that again) and successfully kept my networks safe while destruction rained down from the heavens.

Politically I tend to run middle of the road although I have recently trended towards the Libertarian / Ron Paul frame of mind.

The idea for ScatterShotMind.com came to me one night as I was tossing and turning in bed. I often have trouble sleeping due to the thoughts constantly going through my head. I’ll keep myself up for hours going over things in my head. Then I thought, what if I made a site and posted these discussions I have with myself, and invite people to contribute to the thought process. A few more restless nights pondering a potential site name and ScatterShotMind was born. It just seemed to fit so perfectly with what I hope the site will accomplish.

So here we are. The site is active, and ready for business. Now it’s time to start populating it with the thoughts that run through my head.

I’m sure this section will grow as I think of more to say. I hope that as I post more and more content, that content itself will present a larger, clearer image of who I am and where I come from than any short about me blurb can ever achieve.

UPDATE!

I originally had the idea that when I started a diet, I'd post about it as part of the blog and see what happens. Well that's apparently quite a popular idea as seen by the success of Tyler over on www.344pounds.com (check him out if you haven't already). He's taken diet blogging to a different level.

As I'm about to finally start a diet of my own, I'm going to be creating a section for the diet and all diet related blogging. That way people who are interested in following the diet progress can do so there, people who just want to hang out on the original scatter thought topics can do that, and hopefully some people will enjoy both.
