Importance of meals - Salad suggestions?

So I've been stumbling around through my diet the past week and a half since returning, and I've really found something important.

You must eat!

On a few occasions in the past week I wound up missing either lunch or breakfast, and just completely wrecked my energy level and will to do things like exercise. As is also the case when you skip meals, you tend to make up for it later, and that throws things off as well.

I'm really having to try and focus on eating. It's the weirdest thing to think that you have to make sure you eat while on a diet but it seems to be vital that you keep to a schedule.

Anyone that is starting out and finding they're having trouble sticking to their meals, look closely at how your meals are spread out and see if you can find any problems in that. On good days I have about 5-6 meals spread out evenly throughout the day. Every time I eat I'm not really hungry, but know that it's time to eat so I do. When I'm successful at that, I lose more weight, feel less hungry, and overall have more success with the diet. Now if only I could do it consistently.

Another thing, I walked into the break room earlier and a handful of people were in there and some had these really nice looking homemade salads. Now I'm sure not all of those salads were healthy salads, but it got me to thinking there has to be some better salad ideas than the meager ones I make from time to time.

So to anyone reading this, what types of salads do you like to make?

This was a salad I recently discovered via my roommates mom...and it rocks.

Romaine lettuce, bruschetta, blue cheese, and little bit of caeser dressing.

You can add chicken or something too, but I think its great without.

Unfortunately I don't like blue cheese. Taste to me like what I would imagine liquefied stinky sock to taste like. lol

I'm thinking I need to get some veggies in the salad. Diced red onion, bell pepper, mushroom. Things like that with a vinaigrette style dressing.

Ahh glad I wasn't the only gamer that added some weight. last year I found myself 45 lbs over. here is what I did food wise:

here are some things that worked very well for me: 2 pieces of tilapia with lime juice on the George Forman grill, as many apples as you want each day (try to keep it no more then 6), 1/4 lbs of vegetables only green in color and drink lots of water. I dropped 22 lbs in 30 days with this. after the first month I relaxed a little but total was 38 lbs in 3 months. I would go on the treadmill fast walk 4.0 miles per hour 30-45 minutes per day faithfully. the weight dropped off fast for me doing this. After 30 days I went to diet food #2.

diet food #2 pretty salad tortilla wrap- tortilla (8-10 inch or so) squirt a little bit of home made honey mustard (1/2 pure honey and 1/2 dijon spicy mustard) , 1 slice of turkey or ham (the deli stuff not the processed), sprinkle feta cheese, sprinkle a dash of parm if you like it. add a dash of balsamic vinegar to really set the flavor off. final ingredient- add a large amount of the mixed salad that has all different types of salad and fresh spinach leaves in it (I call it pretty salad) (buy it at cosco or sams club for 1/2 the price as a grocery store). I was burnt out on salad so I tried experimenting with different combinations. Now I have been addicted to these during this diet and will eat 2 for lunch and 2 for dinner. It is all I want to eat, for some reason the crave is the basalmic vinegar flavor. It put a different "wrap" on plain old salad. try to cut the feta cheese and use lots of salad to fill you up. keep it going brother!!!!
