I dropped 22 lbs in 30 days with this. after the first month I relaxed a little but total was 38 lbs in 3 months. I would go on the treadmill fast walk 4.0 miles per hour 30-45 minutes per day faithfully. the weight dropped off fast for me doing this. After 30 days I went to diet food #2.

diet food #2 pretty salad tortilla wrap- tortilla (8-10 inch or so) squirt a little bit of home made honey mustard (1/2 pure honey and 1/2 dijon spicy mustard) , 1 slice of turkey or ham (the deli stuff not the processed), sprinkle feta cheese, sprinkle a dash of parm if you like it. add a dash of balsamic vinegar to really set the flavor off. final ingredient- add a large amount of the mixed salad that has all different types of salad and fresh spinach leaves in it (I call it pretty salad) (buy it at cosco or sams club for 1/2 the price as a grocery store). I was burnt out on salad so I tried experimenting with different combinations. Now I have been addicted to these during this diet and will eat 2 for lunch and 2 for dinner. It is all I want to eat, for some reason the crave is the basalmic vinegar flavor. It put a different "wrap" on plain old salad. try to cut the feta cheese and use lots of salad to fill you up. keep it going brother!!!!

Juncti comments on Weigh In #10 - Late to the party

Just a pair of 12lb free weights. I'll be getting back to trying to lose weight here soon. I'm just going to work on diet for a while and very moderate exercise in hopes that once I can drop 30-40lbs that I can ramp up the exercise since there will be less wear and tear on my joints.

Alex comments on Weigh In #10 - Late to the party

Sorry to hear about your knees. That can definitely be a tough obstacle for exercising. Do you have any weights? I was thinking of starting a weight lifting challenge. I'm in on on dailyburn, but it's full of crazy heavy lifting people. I was thinking one for us slightly more sane fellows.

Steve comments on Weigh In #10 - Late to the party

Stick with it dude, and congrats to your Saints. Taste to me like what I would imagine liquefied stinky sock to taste like. lol

I'm thinking I need to get some veggies in the salad. Diced red onion, bell pepper, mushroom. Things like that with a vinaigrette style dressing.

Steve comments on Importance of meals - Salad suggestions?

This was a salad I recently discovered via my roommates mom...and it rocks.

Romaine lettuce, bruschetta, blue cheese, and little bit of caeser dressing.

You can add chicken or something too, but I think its great without.

Alex comments on How many miles?

Don't sell yourself short. I found your post very inspiring because I had begun to hit a wall. There really is plenty of time left to finish. Think about it, 3 more episodes of biggest loser, for you that could be 75 more miles right there!

I think that even on the biggest loser, the spectrum of people's fitness levels is pretty amazing. I'd say that given how much those people struggled, it says some positive things about you in how you finished the 25 miles.

Juncti comments on How many miles?

Doubt I'm knocking you off the top anytime soon, but I'll give it a go.

What's crazy about the Biggest Loser comparison is numerous men on the show are at my weight, so I would think we were also at the same level of fitness.

Sunday was a bust, need to get back on the bike.

Alex comments on How many miles?

Indeed an awesome turning point.
